I offer in person appointments at my office at 1777 Union St in San Francisco. I also offer virtual appointments for those living in California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and Idaho. I am available for sessions from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Pacific Time.

You can book appointments anytime through the client portal.

The first appointment is all about getting to know you and your family. I'll ask questions to understand your background, your concerns, and what you're hoping to achieve through therapy—probably more questions than in a typical session, since I want to build a strong foundation for our work together. We'll also take a few minutes to review important policies so we're aligned on expectations. Sessions are 50 minutes long, and before we wrap up, we'll talk about scheduling and find a regular appointment time that works best for you.

Online therapy sessions are conducted through secure video calls using SimplePractice, my electronic health records platform. It's easy to access: if you're on a desktop or laptop, simply click the link I send you. If you're using a phone or tablet, you'll need to download the "Telehealth by SimplePractice" app first. You'll receive reminders with your session link 48 hours before your appointment and again 10 minutes before we meet. To protect confidentiality, please make sure you're in a private space where you can speak freely. Technology isn't always perfect. Sometimes internet connections drop or microphones act up. But I've found that these moments can actually contribute to our work together, and they're never a barrier to effective therapy.

I've been providing virtual therapy to children for years now and have truly mastered the art of keeping kids engaged online. I use specialized platforms like Hopscotch Play that allow me to incorporate play therapy and art therapy techniques right into our sessions. These tools enable co-play, meaning I send your child a HIPAA-secure link during our session that lets us interact on the same screen while we're on our video call. For older children and teens who prefer more complex games, I also use platforms like Board Game Arena. I'm passionate about the fact that children learn crucial emotional regulation and social skills through play—and virtual therapy doesn't have to sacrifice that. Play is how kids process their world, and I've found ways to bring that same therapeutic power into the online space.

If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or you are more than 15 minutes late to a session, I reserve the right to charge the full session fee.

While I make every effort to respond to voicemails and emails within 24 business hours, I am not available for crisis support after hours. If you or someone in your family is experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away.
